The American Indian Student Support Services and the American Indian Convocation Committee welcome all to Arizona State University to recognize, honor and celebrate the academic success and accomplishments of American Indian graduates. Participation is open to all students graduating in the spring semester.  

  • RSVP for the American Indian Convocation on the graduation tab on myASU
  • Deadline to apply for American Indian Convocation, May 1. 
  • Graduates are asked to check in by 10:00 a.m. to prepare for the formal processional that will begin at 11 a.m.
  • Visit the ASU Ceremonies page, a one-stop site for all information and schedules related to undergraduate and graduate commencements and special-interest convocations.

Attire- All graduates are required to wear a cap and gown during the ceremony. Students can purchase regalia at or during Grad Fairs hosted by the Sun Devil Campus Bookstores.

Grad Fairs- Graduates will be able to purchase their cap and gown, diploma frames and announcements. For additional information on Grad Fair dates, times and locations, visit

Faculty, Staff and Tribal Leaders- All are welcome to participate in the American Indian Convocation ceremony honoring ASU's American Indian graduates. Your show of support to the graduates is important. ASU faculty and administrators, and tribal leaders have the option of participating in the ceremony platform, please register prior to Fri., May 1. Registration link will open soon

Accessibility and Disability Information for Gammage Auditorium- Gammage Auditorium has disabled seating in the front and back of the Orchestra level. Native American Alumni Chapter- The Native American Alumni Chapter is dedicated and committed to providing activities that foster education and retention of students by offering mentor programs, scholarships, awards/recognition programs, social and orientations.
