Tutoring - Student Success Center

The Student Success Center at the Downtown campus provides a broad array of programs and services to support students’ academic success. Tutors are available to work with students in small groups on a walk-in basis. Tutors can help students:

  • review key concepts from courses
  • learn new methods for notetaking and textbook reading
  • formulate questions to take back to professors about course material
  • develop new study strategies

For a successful tutoring session, students need to bring their books, notes, assignment, and a calculator if needed. Have specific questions ready about course content you may not understand fully.

AISSS-Downtown is located inside The University Center.

Student Services

Vickie Baldwin, Student Success & Retention Coordinator at the Downtown campus is available to meet students on a drop-in basis or by appointment.  The Downtown AISSS office is NOW located in the Post Office (POST) Room L1-32 and the AISSS lab is at POST Room L1-34.
