The American Indian Student Support Services offers a variety of direct support services to assist American Indian students. These services listed below are for students’ use to improve academic progress and achievement.
Tutoring

The Student Success Center at the Tempe Campus provides tutoring and academic support services to help students succeed in college.
AISSS Tutoring in partnership with University Academic Success Programs (UASP)
The AISSS tutoring site provides free tutoring in many subject areas for the American Indian population. Just bring your ASU Sun Card into Discovery Hall, Room 312 to take advantage of study space and tutoring services.

Writing tutoring is done by appointment. Stop in or call to make an appointment. Drop-in tutoring is allowed as well but is based on tutor availability. For writing tutoring appointments call (480) 965-5685 (appointments taken during business hours).
Computer Lab
Twenty-four computers are available for student use. EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES are a priority when using the AISSS computer labs.
Guidance/Advising
Students may encounter academic and personal challenges while at ASU. AISSS staff can assist students with academic/personal issues, career opportunities, financial aid information and general guidance. For a one-to-one meeting, it is best to schedule an appointment or complete the KEYS Request for Services. The Navajo Nation is offering consultation and traditional services on a monthly basis. Information
Community events, AISSS events, resources, scholarships, internship, employment, announcements, volunteer opportunities as well as those pertinent to each campus can be found on the AISSS website.
Printing/Copying/Fax Service
Students may print from the computers and copy papers for a nominal fee, but a lower rate than most site on campus. Students may also request to fax documents.
Workshops
AISSS will host workshops on specific topics including traditional American Indian stories throughout the semester. Workshop announcements will be posted and on the AISSS website.
Study Area / Meeting Room
Study areas are provided in the computer lab, graduate support space, activity room, and the student pod next to the AISSS administration office.
Graduate Support
Graduates students and graduate student organization may use the Graduate Support office for their official business.
